Purposes

• Students will learn where the eggs in the grocery store come from.
• Students will learn about the ethical issues surrounding modern egg production.
• Students will learn vocabulary words related to modern egg production, such as “battery cage,” “debeaking,” and “force-molting.”
• Students will learn about how individuals and groups can improve the way that hens are treated.
