Adopt-A-Turkey Project
Give a turkey something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Every year, Farm Sanctuary rescues turkeys from slaughter and provides them with lifelong loving care at their shelters for farmed animals in New York and California. This would be a terrific service-learning project for your class to adopt! It teaches students about the importance of rescuing animals in need and also helps them to learn about turkeys through the bond they form with the rescued bird. For more information about adopting a turkey, visit www.FarmSanctuary.org.

A Classroom Feast
The holiday season is intended to be a time of joy. After adopting a bird from Farm Sanctuary, you can give thanks again by cooking up a Tofurky or other turkey substitute for your class. Eating healthy holiday meals is important, and Tofurky is known for its incredible, turkey-like texture and flavor while being totally cholesterol-free. It tastes great to turkeys and kids! Expand your students' definition of holiday cooking by giving them this great feast to try!
